Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) harness the regenerative power already inside you -- using concentrated growth factors from your own blood to rejuvenate skin, stimulate hair growth, and accelerate your body's natural healing processes.
Both start with a small draw of your own blood and a spin in a centrifuge -- but they produce different concentrations of growth factors with different release patterns.
A liquid concentrate of platelets and growth factors separated from your blood. PRP delivers a fast, potent release of growth factors at the injection site. It's highly effective for skin rejuvenation, acne scarring, and certain hair restoration protocols. PRP has decades of clinical research behind it and is one of the most well-studied regenerative treatments available.
A newer, more advanced formulation that creates a fibrin matrix -- essentially a slow-release scaffold that delivers growth factors over days rather than hours. PRF contains a higher concentration of platelets and also includes white blood cells and stem cells, which may support longer-lasting tissue regeneration. Many providers consider PRF the evolution of PRP.
During your consultation, Brittany Adams, APRN FNP-C, will help you determine which option -- or combination -- is right for your goals.
Growth factors are versatile. Here are some of the most popular ways we use PRP and PRF at our Bedford, TX clinic:
Injected or microneedled into the skin, PRP/PRF stimulates collagen production and cellular turnover -- improving skin texture, tone, and radiance. Often called the "Vampire Facial" when combined with microneedling.
Growth factors help remodel scar tissue and rebuild collagen in depressed or pitted acne scars, smoothing skin texture over a series of treatments.
PRP/PRF doesn't freeze muscles like neurotoxins -- instead it rebuilds the skin from within, softening superficial lines by restoring volume and elasticity.
Injected directly into the scalp, PRP/PRF growth factors stimulate dormant follicles, slow further loss, and support new growth. Often combined with other hair restoration protocols for best results.
The delicate under-eye area responds beautifully to PRF -- thinning, crepey under-eye skin can appear firmer, brighter, and more youthful over a series of treatments.
PRP/PRF amplifies results when paired with microneedling, laser, or other treatments. Ask us about combination protocols to maximize your outcomes.
We review your skin goals, medical history, and current treatments to determine whether PRP, PRF, or a combined protocol is the right fit for you.
A small sample of your blood (similar to a routine lab draw) is collected right here in our Bedford clinic -- quick and comfortable.
Your blood is spun in a centrifuge to isolate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma or fibrin -- the good stuff your skin and scalp need.
PRP/PRF is applied via injection or microneedling directly to the target area. Minimal downtime -- most clients return to their day within hours.
Located in Bedford, TX -- right in the heart of the Mid-Cities -- we're easy to reach from Hurst, Euless, Colleyville, Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, and surrounding communities. You shouldn't have to drive to Dallas for excellent regenerative aesthetics.
PRP and PRF pricing depends on the treatment area, whether we're combining it with another service, and how many sessions your plan includes. We'll lay it all out clearly at your consultation.
During your free consultation, Brittany Adams, APRN FNP-C, will evaluate your goals and recommend a specific PRP or PRF protocol -- including the number of sessions, frequency, and any combination treatments that might amplify your results. We also offer flexible payment plan options so you can invest in your skin without stress.
Very. Because PRP and PRF are derived from your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is essentially zero -- your body recognizes its own platelets. These treatments have decades of clinical use across medicine, from orthopedics to dentistry to aesthetics. All procedures at Happy Drip IV & Wellness are performed or directly supervised by Brittany Adams, APRN FNP-C.
It depends on what you're treating. For skin rejuvenation and fine lines, most clients see meaningful results after a series of 3 treatments spaced 4--6 weeks apart, with maintenance every 6--12 months. For hair restoration, protocols typically involve monthly sessions for 3--6 months initially. We'll give you a specific recommendation during your consultation.
The blood draw is quick and feels like any routine lab draw. For facial or scalp injections, we apply topical numbing cream beforehand so the injections are very tolerable -- most people are surprised by how comfortable it is. Microneedled PRP/PRF involves mild sensations from the needling device, but numbing cream keeps it comfortable throughout.
Minimal. After PRP/PRF injections, you may have some redness, mild swelling, or bruising at injection sites -- this typically resolves within 24--72 hours. After PRP/PRF microneedling, expect redness similar to a mild sunburn that fades within a day or two. Most clients return to normal activities the same day. We'll walk you through specific post-care instructions based on your treatment.
PRP and PRF work by stimulating your body's own regenerative processes -- so results build gradually over weeks to months. Some clients notice an initial glow within a week or two, but the real collagen remodeling and tissue regeneration continues for 3--6 months after treatment. Results often look best 2--3 months after completing a treatment series.
Yes -- and combining treatments often produces significantly better results. PRP/PRF pairs particularly well with microneedling (the Vampire Facial), laser treatments, and other hair restoration protocols. At Happy Drip IV & Wellness, we can build a comprehensive treatment plan that sequences multiple services for maximum impact. Ask us about combination protocols at your consult.
Most healthy adults are good candidates. PRP/PRF works especially well for those noticing early signs of aging, acne scarring, hair thinning, or dull skin who want a natural approach that works with their own biology. We'll review your health history at your consultation to confirm candidacy and rule out any contraindications (such as blood clotting disorders or certain medications).
