A little preparation goes a long way toward the best results and smoothest recovery.
Before Your Appointment
- ✓ Come with a clean, makeup-free face on the day of your appointment
- ✓ Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your treatment
- ✓ Avoid blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin, NSAIDs) for 1 week prior, if medically safe for you to do so
- ✓ Consult your doctor before stopping any prescribed blood-thinning medication -- never stop without medical guidance
- ✓ Let us know about any skin infections, cold sores, or active breakouts near the treatment area
After Your Treatment
- ✓ No strenuous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment -- keep your heart rate down
- ✓ Avoid excessive heat -- saunas, hot tubs, and steam rooms for 24 hours
- ✓ Do not lie flat or bend forward for at least 4 hours after your appointment
- ✓ Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours
- ✓ Results take 2–3 days to appear and reach full effect at 7–14 days -- be patient with your glow!
